The Inn is located just 7 miles from Big Rapids, home to Ferris State University and to some of the most beautiful golf courses, quaint shops located in historic buildings, locally-owned restaurants, and the winding Muskegon River for canoeing or tubing.

Big Rapids Riverwalk

You could spend an entire day enjoying the Big Rapids Riverwalk that runs from Maple Street to Northend Riverside Park. Whether on bike, blade, or just plain walking, this recently completed project allows visitors the chance to enjoy the outdoors while still remaining within town. With several benches and other places to stop and relax, this pathway provides an almost constant view of the Muskegon River.

Golfing

Play some of Golf Magazine�s Top 100 Courses in America right here in Big Rapids. World-class golf, charming countryside...all the right ingredients for a great golfing experience. We will be happy to pre-arrange a tee time for you at these nearby courses.

Katke Golf - On the grounds of Ferris State University, Katke is home to the first PGA accredited Professional Golf Management program in the country and boasts 18 championship holes of golf designed over beautiful rolling hills.

Falcon Head - Beautiful rolling hills, hardwood forest, creeks and wetlands make this course an enjoyable golfing experience.

Canadian Lakes - A golf resort area that is approximately 25 miles from Big Rapids. It boasts two of the nation�s top courses: Tullymore and St. Ives.

Tubing & Canoeing

Tubing and canoeing are a must on the Muskegon River. Local companies are set up too do both short and full day excursions. We will be glad to help you make these arrangements
